The Bodrum Cup XVII started!...
The Bodrum Cup XVII will take place between 15-20 October 2005.
On the 15th, during daytime, Bodrum municipality organized an opening ceremony in the main square of harbour. There was lots of dance groups, school bands, animations, and live music.
In the afternoon, there was the briefing for participants at the Milta Bodrum Marina, and then a cocktail was given in the evening at the same place.
Opening speeches were made by the organization committee chairman Erman Aras and Melike Cetiner. Also, Bodrum governor Osman Eksi and the mayor Mazlum Agan presented their wellwishes to all participants.
This year the itinerary was planned to include a Grek island Kalymnos, but could not be realized due to a visa problem. This did not affect the arrival of Kalymnos people in the opening ceremony. They also brought a big folk dance Group, the evening went on with their music and dance shows. A Grek boat from Kalymnos also took place among the participants.
